Choir Bogd Uul is a national park that has preserved its centuries-old history. It is a mountain made of granite 1686 m above sea level. Since 1923, the mountain has been called Otsol Sansar Uul in Khan Khentii aimag. Researchers have noted that Otsol is the Tibetan word for "bright light," but the name appears to have originated later in the writing of the Sutra.
